This week we had the pleasure of meeting a new client and assisting him with his tax return.
He mentioned that he had lodged his own tax return last year but struggled using the MyTax software and wasn’t able to claim all his deductions.
I let him know that we could still amend last years tax return. I estimated he would be able to get back $1,200 based on the advised deductions.
The next morning he popped back in with previous years tax return information and we managed to get back an extra $1,252.
$150 to lodge a tax return – not a bad return!
He will be putting the money in savings to help pay for their trip to Canada next year.
