Maybe you’re planning on visiting family for Christmas, or going on a big trip overseas?
Travelling during the holidays can be stupid crazy and expensive. But it’s not all bad news.
Have a look at our top travelling tips:
1. Try to avoid peak travel times
During Christmas and New Year’s, the peak travel times sometimes change every year, depending on which days the holidays are on.
Having a quick Google search can tell you when the best time to travel will be during these holidays.
2. Travel websites
Checking out websites like Wotif or Expedia can make comparing travel shopping much more bearable. Make sure to check as many sites as you can, to find the best deals.
Be sure to look and see if it is the right deal for you, not only in price but in location – Is it close to the airport? Close to any attractions? etc.
3. Packing smart
Don’t be that person at the airport that holds everybody up because you decided to pack your tweezers or nail clippers in your carry-on luggage when they are prohibited.
Also, remember that some countries have restrictions on liquids inside your carry-ons.
4. Protect yourself
Don’t forget to grab yourself some travel insurance, especially if you’re going overseas.
If ever there was a time to take out insurance, the peak Christmas travel season is it, especially if you’re carrying gifts.
